Cole Scammell Racing update
As you may have seen our racing season started off well. Our first event was at Christchurch for test and tune on Sunday. The bike ran perfectly and I couldn’t fault it however it was over powering a cold and Un prepped track. This made for a constant and frustrating battle for traction all day my fastest run was a 9.1 at 158 mph losing traction hard off the line, getting out of the power completely then back on again. In spite of this I still managed to take the win for my class which will be a great help towards the PBDRC club points series for the season. Our next event is coming up in a couple weeks also in Christchurch for the first round of nationals. I will take the same setup to this event as well but with perhaps a second chain for a short wheel base option in case the track conditions aren’t there again. At this event I will also try to better my existing national record of 8.38 to hopefully an 8.2. Soon my new parts will be shipping out of Canada to increase my power massively. I am hoping to run my new set up in Masterton in November and break into the 7’s which has been a very long term goal and will be awesome if I can achieve this.
